InterContinental Hotels Group is expected to shortly announce their plans to develop a $800 million resort in Orlando, Florida, that will include its largest hotel.

A company executive said the resort will include a 1,260-room InterContinental, where nearly half the rooms will be condominiums that will be offered for sale, reported the Wall Street Journal Online.  It will also include nearly 1,000 traditional condos in five 18-story buildings.

The resort is scheduled to open in 2009.  It will be built and owned by Hospitality Development Group and managed by InterContinental, the Journal said.
