Interim director appointed by Jamaica Tourist Board
The Jamaica Tourist Board has appointed Donnie Dawson as interim director of tourism starting on June 1.
Dawson, who is currently deputy director of tourism sales for the US, will take the position until a suitable candidate is found to replace director Paul Pennicook, whose term comes to an end at the end of this month.
Chairman Dennis Morrison said: “Donnie’s sales and marketing expertise and in-depth knowledge of the travel industry will allow him to lead the organisation through this transitional period.”
Dawson has been with the tourist board 30 years, starting as sales representative at its headquarters in Kingston.
