Investigation launched as Scottish man dies at Bulgaria beach resort
Bulgarian police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old Scottish man at a Bulgaria beach resort.
Cameron Russell from Dalry in Ayrshire, was involved in an ‘incident’ in Sunny Beach, near the Black Sea, on Thursday.
He reportedly died the following morning, although the circumstances of his death, around the area of the Chaika Beach Hotel, are unclear.
Police are investigating and a post-mortem is being carried out.
Mr Russell worked as a digger driver and his colleagues posted on Facebook that he would be ‘sorely missed’.
The Foreign Office said it was ‘providing assistance to the family of a British man who has died in Sunny Beach’.
