Theme park capital Orlando welcomed 6.13 million international visitors in 2023, an increase of 25% over the previous year.

Visit Orlando says Canada remains the top international source market, with more than 1.2 million visitors in 2023, the highest number from this market ever.

“We saw strong gains from all of our core international markets, including the UK,” said Casandra Matej, President and CEO for Visit Orlando.

“Orlando’s international growth is a testament to the support from our travel trade partners and our emphasis on strategic marketing initiatives.”

The UK inbound market grew 8% year-on-year to 877,000.

Brazil and Mexico also had double-digit growth.

Overall, 2023 international visitation numbers represent 94% of the pre-pandemic 2019 levels.

Visit Orlando expanded on its ‘Unbelievably Real’ marketing campaign, including a ‘Winter Doesn’t Exist’ campaign in key international markets during the winter months.

Visit Orlando shared 2023 international visitation data this week at U.S. Travel Association’s IPW 2024 in Los Angeles.
