Ireland travel warning after American attacked
The US has a new advisory for tourists visiting the Emerald Isle.
The U.S. Embassy in Ireland recently issued the travel warning to American tourists to be extra cautious, and avoid walking alone.
It is a response to an attack on an American a week ago in Dublin.
“Be aware of your environment. Avoid walking alone, if possible, especially during hours of darkness,” the Embassy travel warning said.
It advises ‘not to wear or display expensive jewelry or watches and avoid carrying large amounts of cash.’
It cautions Americans to ‘keep a low profile.’
A tourist from Buffalo, NY was put in intensive care after a group of teenagers attacked him in Dublin.
Two teens including one aged 14, were later arrested.
Stephen Termini, 57, awoke from a coma at the weekend.
He sustained severe head injuries.
