Hawaiian carrier Island Air will offer a range of free perks for air travelers at Honolulu International Airport commuter terminal through August, with free food, massages and live Hawaiian music.
It is part of a strategy to improve the gate experience for passengers, following the installation of new check-in counters, smartphone charging stations and wide screen TVs.
The airline, which is owned by billionaire Larry Ellison, recently said it would also offer free Wi-Fi.
The departure gate freebies start with ‘Tasty Tuesdays’ with pizza and Hawaiian snacks offered each week to travelers.
Each Wednesday afternoon until the end of August, free chair massages are available to checked-in passengers, while every Friday live Hawaiian music will be played.
The inter-island carrier offers more than 250 weekly flights between Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Lanai.
