Minister expresses wish to cooperate at 5th UNWTO Silk Road meeting
The Israel tourism minister expressed his desire to link with the Silk Road and develop reciprocal tourism with the Silk Road countries.
At the opening session of the 5th Silk Road meeting, Israeli tourism minister, Stas Misezhnikov spoke in enthusiastic terms about the Silk Road project.
He said that Israel was happy to be involved and would co-operate to the maximum to develop the opportunities for back to back tourism.
The meeting attracted some 200 participants from 30 countries and was held in Samarkand , Uzbekhistan last week.
Silk Road countries include:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, China, DPR Korea, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
