The Italian government passed a new law making it compulsory for workers in both public and private sectors to use the Covid-19 green pass. It is mandatory from October 15 and effective until the end of the year.
Only pensioners and unemployed citizens are exempt from carrying the green pass, said Health Minister Roberto Speranza .
All employees must be able to prove that they have been vaccinated, are recovering from the virus, or have recently tested negative, he said.
