ITB Asia lures early birds with discount offer
SINGAPORE – Messe Berlin (Singapore) is offering a 15 percent early bird discount on exhibition space at ITB Asia 2009.
The offer is valid for all completed applications received until March 20.
ITB Asia will take place at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition & Convention Centre, 21-23 October this year.
With the early bird discount, a basic nine square metre shell scheme booth would cost US$2,456. The 15 percent offer applies to all exhibition space bookings, regardless of size.
The inaugural ITB Asia last year sold out three months prior to its opening. It attracted 651 exhibiting companies from 58 countries.
The exhibitors’ registration deadline for this year is May 15.
Messe Berlin (Singapore) general manager Whey Whey Ng said ITB Asia 2009 was receiving strong support from leading travel industry brand names from around Asia and the world, despite global economic challenges.
Bookings from the Middle East are already up on last year. Dubai Tourism plans to expand its presence. Gulf Air will make its ITB Asia debut with a large pavilion. Indonesia has increased its floor space for ITB Asia 2009.
From the hotel sector, Starwood has pledged support to ITB Asia for five years. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and WORLDHOTELS are participating.
