Monday, 17 July 20173 min read

Japan Airlines is doubling down on its long haul service to London with a second daily flight to the UK capital from Tokyo Haneda.

The additional flight begins October 29, 2017.

That adds up to a total of four direct daily flights between the UK and Japan in cooperation with codeshare and oneworld alliance partner British Airways.

BA flies once a day from London to both of Tokyo’s main airports – Haneda and Narita.

"Japan Airlines is delighted to announce the addition of this second flight on the London – Tokyo route. Not only does this allow us to offer greater choice and seat availability to travellers based in London, it also allows customers travelling from elsewhere in the UK and Europe another option when travelling to and from Japan," said Yoshitaka Ihokibe, Japan Airlines SVP, EMEA Region.

"We anticipate that demand for Japan travel will continue to grow and we are determined to answer that demand with the highest standards of safety and service."

The new JAL service will be operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.
