Japan Airlines ditches discounted fares offer due to crashed website
Japan Airlines abruptly scrapped sales of its cheap discounted fares offer for domestic flights after heavy customer traffic sent the website down.
The ‘JAL Smiles’ discounted fares offer had a fixed rate of US$48 for domestic flights.
“We are currently investigating and working to restore the connection,” JAL said.
It then said it scrapped the offer ‘in light of the fact that there is no prospect of restoration at this time.’
It went down not long after the discounted fare offer began.
The fares were valid for travel from April through June.
