Japan touts floating spaceport for day trips in space
Japan is quite literally floating a new concept for space tourism. Spaceport City hopes to take travellers on space flights from a floating spaceport in Tokyo Bay.
If the idea actually gets off the ground, it would fly spacecraft on suborbital day trips 50 miles above Earth. Travellers would be able to leave their seats to experience zero-gravity.
