Japan urges China to stop anal Covid tests

Japanese travellers arriving in Beijing, China were apparently subjected to mandatory anal tests for Covid-19. Numerous travellers have complained about the invasive nature of the tests.
The Chinese government believes anal swabs are more effective in detecting the virus.
