Indian carrier Jet Airways is launching a third daily flight from its Mumbai hub to Bangkok, making it the airline with the highest frequency on the route, it said.
The new flight begins on March 27, and Jet is also adding a second daily departure from Delhi to the Thai capital on the same date.
Both routes will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
"With the introduction of these new frequencies, Jet Airways becomes the largest Indian airline flying between India and Bangkok," the carrier said in a release.
It said the new services will complement the Indian government’s ‘Look East-Act East’ policy to better connect the subcontinent with The ASEAN region via India based airlines and code share partners.
"By adding more capacity to this key destination from our hubs in Mumbai and Delhi, we aim to provide easy connectivity with convenient schedules linking to our wider domestic network," said Gaurang Shetty, senior commercial vice president of Jet Airways.
