Jet Airways announces codeshare agreement with Korean Air

Indian carrier Jet Airways has entered into a codeshare agreement and frequent flyer partnership with Korean Air.
Under the arrangement, Jet Airways’ code will be placed on Korean Air’s Mumbai services from Incheon and connecting flights to South Korea from Bangkok and Singapore.
Korea Air passengers can also book through tickets via Jet Airways’ flights between Singapore and Mumbai and from Bangkok to Mumbai and Delhi, according to a release.
The codeshare agreement takes effect for flights beginning March 1, 2016.
Members of the JetPrivilege and Korean Air’s SKYPASS frequent flyer programmes can accrue and redeem miles for bookings made on both airlines.
"We are pleased to commence our codeshare partnership with Korean Air, offering our guests convenient flight connections between India and Seoul. The codeshare cooperation with Korean Air is an important milestone in growing our relationships with carriers around the globe," said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president of commercial at Jet Airways.
Korean Air becomes Jet Airways’ 30th frequent flyer partner airline.
Yong Soon Park, Korean Air’s senior vice president of international affairs and alliances said: "We are delighted with this partnership which will provide our customers with better access between Korea and India."
