Jet Airways names new chief commercial officer

Indian carrier Jet Airways has named Jayaraj Shanmugam as new chief commercial officer.
Shanmugam joined the airline last year and has held the post of SVP of products & services.
He will have overall responsibility for product development, guest services, passenger and cargo sales, as well as all marketing and corporate communications.
Shanmugam also leads the key functions of in-flight services, revenue management, flight crew operations and e-commerce.
"I am delighted at Jayaraj’s appointment as the chief commercial officer of Jet Airways. He has been a key member of our executive management committee and brings a wealth of experience pertaining to global best practices and service orientation, together with his contemporary, out-of-the box approach to manage our growing operations," said Jet Airways chairman, Naresh Goyal.
