Jet Airways targets Q1 2022 to resume operations
Long grounded Jet Airways will take to the skies sometime in early 2022. Restart plans were outlined by its new owners who said its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is currently being revalidated.
The business, which has been grounded for more than two years, is now run by a consortium made up of UK-based Kalrock Capital and UAE-based entrepreneur Murari Lal Jalan. It is now working with relevant authorities to regain airport slots and meet other regulatory requirements.
It said it is targeting the first quarter of 2022 to restart domestic flights.
