JetBlue has announced a big expansion of its Mint premium class experience on transcontinental routes with the addition of four new cities.
Beginning in the first quarter of 2017, Mint will be rolled out on services from Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, San Diego and Seattle.
The service will be available from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles and San Francisco, and from San Diego and Seattle to both New York and Boston.
In addition Mint is also coming to JetBlue’s Las Vegas- New York route.
"Mint helped traditional business class travelers realize there is a better way," said JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes.
"Our plan has long called for strategic growth of Mint on these valuable transcontinental routes, and now is the right time for us to capture this opportunity to bring much needed competition where customers are facing dwindling choices."
Featuring lie-flat seating, Mint launched in 2014 and currently serves New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with both seasonal and year-round service to the Caribbean, including Barbados, Aruba, St. Lucia and St. Maarten.
