JetBlue Airways announced an ambitious expansion plan over the next few years, according to Airwise News, that included: —Extending its route network to overseas destinations. —Adding routes to the Caribbean, where company officials said they expected to see a growing market from New York. —Using smaller jets to fly during off-peak seasons to seasonal markets such as Daytona Beach, Florida. Overall, the New York-based airline said it plans to add 16 aircraft this year. The company also said it has 100 Embraer 190 aircraft on order, with deliveries starting in mid-2005. The four-year-old airline already carries more passengers through New York’s John F. Kennedy than any other airline, according to Airwise. Report by David Wilkening
