Budget carrier Jetstar recently continued its expansion at Perth with a third new Asia service launching.
It also opened a new pilot and aircraft base.
Following the launch of new Jetstar services between Perth and Singapore and Phuket this summer, Jetstar launched new Bangkok flights from Perth.
The newest Thailand route runs four times a week.
Jetstar also shifted its domestic flights to Terminal 2 last month.
The airline’s three new leisure routes to Asia represent more than 300,000 seats each year, giving West Australians more travel options.
With one stop in Singapore, travellers can connect to Jetstar Asia’s network of 17 destinations including Colombo, Sri Lanka and Okinawa in Japan.
The Jetstar Asia brand also launched Singapore to Broome flights recently.
To support these new flights and further growth potential, Jetstar opened a new base in Perth for up to 60 pilots and four Airbus A321neo LR aircraft.
With the relocation of domestic flights to T2, travelers can now walk between Jetstar’s domestic and international services, rather than having to take a shuttle bus.
“Last year we flew more than 370,000 customers between Perth and Bali, so we’re confident these new flights will be just as popular,” said Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully
