Jewel in the Crown adds accommodation only option online

Jewel in the Crown Holidays has added accommodation only options to its website.

The Goa, Kerala and Turkey specialist tour operator is now giving agents and consumers the chance to book accommodation for Goa and Kerala, starting from seven nights to 28 nights.

For Turkey, it’s possible to book from one night to 28 nights.

Managing director Platon Loizou said: “Jewel is able to buy accommodation much cheaper than a client could by going direct to a hotel for a one off reservation. We will pay 15% commission to travel agents

“When an agent wants us to act as the principal, ensuring that this element of the package is protected, we will charge £5pp, also commissionable at 15%.

“We anticipate that during this season there will be a major shift away from traditional holiday booking with as much as 20% of the business being self-packaged by our customers”.

The operator has also added video clips of its hotels to its Jewel Goa website.
