Joint venture deal for prized Hilton property
Private investment group Waramaug Hospitality, in partnership with Interstate Hotels, has acquired the 329-room Hilton Concord in a joint venture deal.
The hotel located in Concord, California was previously wholly owned by Interstate who will remain an investor and continue to manage the hotel.
Award-winning Hotel Concord is a recipient of the 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award and was also recognized by the State of California, receiving the GEELA award for outstanding contribution to sustainability and the environment.
The hotel features a range of energy-efficient and recycling initiatives including bio digester waste management, eco-flush water saving toilets and has one of the largest electric vehicle charging stations in Northern California.
It is the first Hilton brand hotel to win this award, regarded as the most prestigious honor in the field of conservation, environmental management and corporate social responsibility.
"The hotel is on the cutting-edge of technology and sustainability which we believe is key to its profitability.
"By adding this hotel to our group, we raise the bar much higher and know we can expect great things from the Hilton Concord in the years to come," said Paul Nussbaum, Waramaug Hospitality’s managing partner.
