1. 11th Zurich Street parade 10th August 2002

With Peace! As its slogan, the Street parade 2002 will move off on 10th August at 3:15. Zurich will be temporarily taken over by 33 colourfully decorated lorries, pumping out techno and various forms of dance music along with thousands of dancers. This demo for love freedom and tolerance has grown from a relatively small marginal underground event to become the biggest event of all in Switzerland. Over 30 parties before and after the parade will once again transform Zurich into Europe’s Party Mecca! There will be special train services to Zurich and local public transport services will operate non-stop. Switzerland – boring? 5. Winterthur Museum of Photography: Chic Clicks

Fashion is everything: it is the principle of what is `in¿, of here today-gone tomorrow, of free-flowing change, of adulation and rejection, of breaking with tradition whilst at the same time exploiting tradition ¿ all a mere particle, a particle of scent, style, color and shape for us to mould as we like. This modern, highly dynamic approach to core and surface has touched so many areas of our lives, even, perhaps, to the extent of our entire social fabric. This exhibition is dedicated to the phenomenon of fashion, of what is in vogue. It shows the work of two categories of photographers ¿ fashion photographers and art photographers ¿ and tries, through a parallel presentation of commissioned work and free work, to get closer to the substance of fashion and the ephemeral in the language of today¿s images, in today¿s world in general. The photographers include e.g. Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Cindy Sherman, Richard Prince, Terry Richardson, Collier Schorr, Larry Sultan and Erwin Wurm. An exhibition organized in conjunction with the ICA in Boston. With a voluminous catalogue book. For further info: http://cdb.stnet.ch/link.cfm?uuid=i&tid=tid&url=www.fotomuseum.ch/ENG/index.htm
