La Quinta Inns and Suites has announced a deal with an affiliate of Grupo Santos to open eight hotels in Central America through franchise.
The roll out will begin with the development of a 100-plus-room hotel in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
The projected opening will be in early 2014. La Quinta management says that other new construction properties will be developed in Honduras and in Nicaragua, Panama and Guatemala.
