Langkawi tourism bubble begins
Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is targeting about 200,000 domestic tourists to Langkawi by December as the island destination reopened under a tourism bubble pilot scheme.
Minister Nancy Shukri expects about 30,000 tourists this month as the tourism bubble kicked off with full flights. It welcomed eight flights carrying more than 1,500 domestic tourists.
Travellers aged over seven years old must be fully vaccinated and must also test negative for Covid-19 before departure.
