Loganair’s Isle of Man service to London will switch from London City to Heathrow airport next month.
The last flight into London City will be on 30 November, after which the airline will operate a six-days-a-week service from 1 December, rising to daily on 19 December, when a Saturday service will be added.
Loganair took over the route between the Isle of Man and London City from British Airways on an interim basis at the start of September.
The service will now move to Heathrow after Loganair secured runway slots. It will be the first time Loganair – now the UK’s largest regional operator – has operated a permanent scheduled service to Heathrow.
The route will be operated using a 49-seater Embraer 145 regional jet with fares ranging from £69.99 one way.
Loganair already operates routes from the Isle of Man to Liverpool and Manchester, and has maintained the island’s passenger air services following the demise of Flybe and the introduction of Covid-19 lockdowns in March 2020.
