London Gatwick flights diverted after drone sighting
Flight operations were temporarily suspended at London Gatwick on Sunday due to a suspected drone incursion.
All Gatwick flights were halted for nearly one hour while an investigation was carried out, the airport said.
Twelve inbound Gatwick flights were diverted to other airports.
“Passenger safety is the absolute priority with operations suspended temporarily while investigations into the sighting of a suspected drone took place,” a Gatwick spokesperson said.
