Lowcostbeds goes ‘down under’
Lowcostbeds has added Australia to its list of destinations, adding over 1000 properties.
The bedbank is focusing on Queensland, Perth, Sydney, New South Wales and Western Australia and plans to expand its Australia portfolio further.
"Our long haul programme is expanding rapidly," said David Weatherson, long haul product and purchasing manager.
"We have just introduced a number of new areas including Australia and these have performed very well in the first few weeks of being on sale."
The group is now eyeing China, Russia and South America for expansion and plans to have destinations such as Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Columbia rolled out before World Travel Market in early November.
"We will then expand our reach in Africa and grow on existing destinations such as Kenya, Gambia and South Africa and add Namibia, Botswana and possibly Gorilla treks in the Congo," said group sales director Paul Riches.
Lowcostbeds claims it has seen a year on year increase in long haul bookings of over 150% since the launch of its long haul portfolio.
