A Heathrow to Dresden service is being introduced by Lufthansa this summer.
The daily lunchtime flight starts on April 19 operated with Airbus A319 aircraft from Lufthansa subsidiary Bmi, offering up to 138 seats in a two class configuration.
Economy fares start at £49 one-way, £89 return, whilst business class starts at £399 one-way and £649 return, inclusive of taxes and charges.
The airline is also raising frequency to Hamburg from Heathrow from three to four flights a day and to Dusseldorf from four to five flights a day.
Daily summer seasonal services will run between Manchester and Stuttgart and Edinburgh to Dusseldorf.
The summer timetable sees the return of weekly seasonal services to Dusseldorf from Newquay, Jersey and Inverness, as well as the reintroduction of a second service from Edinburgh to Frankfurt.
UK and Ireland general manager Marianne Sammann said: “These new services and increased frequencies reinforce the importance of the UK market within Lufthansa airlines group portfolio.
“We are committed to offering the broadest range of both direct and connecting services to our UK passengers by making the most efficient use of the aircraft within the group fleet."
The summer schedule also sees the resumption of flights to Iraq from April 25 after a 20-year break with a four times weekly service from Frankfurt to the city of Erbil in northern Iraq.
Lufthansa also plans to resume flights to Baghdad this year and is currently making the necessary preparations to do so.
Another new destination in the summer schedule is Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, from Munich three times a week.
