Malaysian authorities have detained a Malaysia Airlines security worker suspected of links to ISIS.
The security guard is a 37-year old Indonesian national who was in possession of an air rifle, said inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar.
"He had connections to Malaysian ISIS militants fighting in Syria, as we also detected that he went to Turkey in 2013, Khalid said.
"We discovered that the suspect planned to take his wife with him to Syria to join ISIS there."
Malaysia Airlines confirmed the arrest and said it will ‘assist in an investigation’.
"The airline views the matter seriously and has taken immediate measures to ensure that the safety and security of its operations are not compromised," the company said.
At the same time security forces said two other men were in custody for suspected ISIS links.
One had posted a threat to bomb Kuala Lumpur on Facebook.
