Malta abandons plan to ban all unvaccinated travellers
Malta has reversed plans to block all unvaccinated visitors from the islands. Last week the Maltese government announced it would require proof of vaccination for all foreign visitors arriving from 14 July, which was criticised the European Commission.
The EC said it violated the spirit of the EU-wide health pass system. The Malteses government says 79% of the adult population have now been fully vaccinated, among the highest rate in the region.
