Luxury hotel group Mandarin Oriental, noted for its landmark properties in the world’s major cities, will plant its flag on Phuket’s beachfront.
It will operate a new luxury resort at Laem Singh Bay the Andaman Sea, which is slated to open in 2022.
The hotel is set to feature 105 rooms, including 37 pool villas, three oceanfront restaurants and bars, two swimming pool, a fitness centre, spa and function space.
It will also comprise a beach club and kid’s club.
"Phuket is one of Asia’s leading leisure destinations and we are delighted to have found such a special site on which to develop our resort," said James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental.
It becomes the group’s second Thai property after the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.
