Malaysia Airlines has been forced to make an apology after a Twitter post some online users had called in bad taste.
"Want to go somewhere, but don’t know where?" the airline posted on Twitter, looking to appeal to traveler’s sense of adventure, but many users called the tweet in bad taste.
The post was taken down Friday and the carrier later posted an apology.
MAS said its intended message was "to inspire travellers to explore deals offered."
It is still suffering fallout from the MH370 flight disappearance as an international search effort continues in the Southern Indian Ocean.
This is not the first time the airline has made a social media faux pas.
In September a marketing campaign encouraged passengers to send in their ‘Ultimate Bucket List’ of destinations on social media in order to win tickets, but this was quickly condemned for being in poor taste.
