Memorial Day weekend launch of new floatels
Forever Resorts launched its new “floatels” this week at Lake Mead. They are calling it a “brand-new accommodation experience” that involves luxury houseboats that remain securely docked at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area’s Echo Bay Marina.
“Floatels are an ideal choice for families, multi-generational groups, gatherings of friends or couples seeking lake accommodations and an introduction to the houseboating experience,” says Forever Resorts in a press release.
Each 67-foot Floatel is climate controlled and includes a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, four bedrooms and a sleeper sofa (sleeps 10), TV/DVD player, outdoor barbecue grill and a top-level sun deck featuring a wet bar and hot tub.
Introductory prices for Floatel rentals start at US$190 per night for the first four passengers.
Additional passengers are $20 per person up to 10 total passengers. Pets are welcome; a $10 per night pet fee will apply.
In addition to Floatels, Echo Bay Marina offers a snack bar, marina store, fishing pier and small boat rentals (ski boats, fishing boats, personal watercraft, and deck boats and patio boats). There are a variety of recreational opportunities.
