Mexico introduces on-line meeting service

Friday, 01 Mar, 2005 0

The Mexico Tourism Board continued its efforts to corral a stronger visitor market by opening a new on-line service for meeting and convention planners.

Users must register with a name and password to access the Meetings and Conventions section at www.visitmexico.com. Users can submit online proposals.

The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Mexico Tourism Board last year became the first country in the world to introduce Zero Tax, an amendment excluding organizers of Mexican events from having to pay a VAT tax.

Mexican public and private organizations are working together to make the area more competitive for international events.
