Minor Hotels debuts NH hotel brands in Sri Lanka
Global hotel operator Minor Hotels has added two properties in Sri Lanka, marking the country debut for the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts and NH Hotels & Resorts brands.
Partnering with hotel owner Softlogic Holdings, Minor Hotels will manage the two properties, one in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo and one in the beach town of Bentota.
NH Collection Colombo Hotel opened its doors on June 1 in the capital city, steps away from Liberty Arcade and the seafront.
It is situated a short drive from the National Museum, Independence Square and Pettah Market.
Bandaranaike International Airport is a 45-minute drive away.
The five-star hotel features 219 rooms and suites, including includes the city’s largest Presidential Suite.
NH Collection Colombo houses six food and beverage, meeting and event spaces, a gym, rooftop infinity pool and spa.
Ninety minutes south of Colombo along the west coast is NH Bentota Ceysands Resort.
The 166-key property, scheduled to open July 1 and will feature an expansive swimming pool with ocean views, a water sports centre, a spa and a kid’s club.
The resort features five restaurants and bars, including an international all-day dining restaurant and a pool bar.

The Sri Lanka hotels join Minor Hotels’ three properties in Sri Lanka – Anantara Kalutara Resort, Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort and Avani Kalutara Resort and over 90 NH Collection and 230 NH hotels and resorts worldwide.
These additions continue Minor Hotels’ global expansion of the NH Collection and NH brands into the Middle East, the Indian Ocean, Asia and Australia.
