Monarch Group has appointed Barry Nightingale as group chief financial officer, starting in January.
He joins from the £9 billion-turnover Betfred Group, where he has been CFO since November 2008 and in 2011 led the group’s successful £265 million acquisition of the Tote.
Before that he was MD and formerly CFO at UK Car Group (Carcraft), and CFO of the global Internet caf-© brand easyEverything.
Nightingale also had over 10 years of experience in the travel industry with Airtours, where he held senior roles in treasury and finance.
He succeeds interim group CFO Andrew Lavery, following the successful purchase of Monarch by Greybull Capital LLP in October.
