North-eastern US is bracing itself for more snow after a massive winter storm killed at least seven people in New York state.
Another 3ft of snow is expected to hit parts of the region, where thousands remain snowed in.
Weather-related deaths have also been reported in New Hampshire and Michigan.
Some of the deaths were caused by car accidents while others died from cardiac issues that resulted from shoveling snow.
Parts of the city of Buffalo are under 5ft of snow and the majority of fights to and from its airport have been cancelled.
The heavy snow and freezing temperatures have caused heavy disruption to travel across several states.
"Communities along the I-90 corridor in southwestern New York, from Silver Creek to the towns south of Buffalo, have been left in a disabled state, after several feet of snow fell on Tuesday," said Accuweather.
"Plow trucks were even stuck in some communities.”
The governor of New York declared several counties a state of emergency, allowing National Guard troops to be put on alert.
"Some of these locations saw 24-hour snowfall amounts that are close to what is seen in a typical winter season,” said Accuweather.
It said due to the nature of the snow bands, some areas could get pummeled, while others would escape the intense snow.
