Green Globe today announced certification for the sustainable management and operation of Mövenpick Resort Taba, Egypt. Located on the Sinai Peninsula, Mövenpick Resort Taba has 424 guest rooms facing the Gulf of Aqaba, and sits at the intersection of Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

Mr Guido Bauer, CEO Green Globe Certification said, ‘Mövenpick Resort Taba, has completed its independent audit and achieved an impressive 83% of Green Globe’s sustainability criteria. As a major tourism business in the holiday destination of Taba, Mövenpick Resort has demonstrated their leadership in sustainable management through their high level of compliance.

‘Being certified sustainable by Green Globe is an endorsement of the commitment by Mövenpick Resort Taba’s General Manager Mr. Osama Abaza and the entire management and employee team. In particular, Green Globe acknowledges the special efforts of Mr. Mohamed El Soghayer, Chief Engineer and Mr. Mohamed Gawad, Training Manager, for their work and leadership during the audit and inspection phases of the certification program’, added Mr. Guido Bauer.
