MSC Group ramps up Turkey earthquake relief efforts
The MSC Group and the MSC Foundation have sent relief supplies in aid of the Turkey earthquake response.
MSC is closely coordinating with the Turkish authorities, the Italian Foreign Ministry and the Vatican.
The MSC Aurelia ferry has sailed to the port of Iskenderun laden with supplies.
It comprises basic necessities and first aid items collected by MSC, together with the Rava Foundation.
It includes food, hygiene items, warm clothing and blankets.
Once supplies are unloaded, MSC Aurelia will be available as emergency accommodation.
It will provide space for over 1,000 beds, with a restaurant and cinema, plus video-game entertainment for children.
Additionally, MSC Turkiye has set up temporary accommodation at Iskenderun port using empty containers for 300 MSC Group employees.
MSC Turkiye is also arranging for the distribution of food and basic needs items.
MSC Group and the MSC Foundation also have a global fundraising campaign among employees.
Every employee donation will be matched by the MSC Foundation.
