NCL takes delivery of Norwegian Encore
Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of its newest ship, Norwegian Encore, in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The ship leaves Germany today and will arrive in Southampton on Saturday.
During this two-day voyage, guests will enjoy the cruise line’s newest features, including the ‘largest and most exciting’ race track in the industry, with four high-speed curves extending up to 13 feet over the side of the ship.
They will also experience a new outdoor laser tag arena with the addition of augmented reality elements, a new immersive escape room, and will watch the at-sea debut of the Tony Award-winning Kinky Boots.
Encore will then make her way to New York and Miami for her naming ceremony on November 21, where her godmother American singer and TV host Kelly Clarkson will perform.
Norwegian Encore, with a capacity of nearly 4,000 guests, will offer seven-day voyages to the Eastern Caribbean from Miami from November 24, Bermuda, and Canada and New England itineraries from New York City beginning April 22 2020 and sailings voyages to the Western Caribbean from Miami beginning Decemger 12, 2020.
In the spring of 2021, she will make her West Coast debut and sail to Alaska from Seattle.
As part of a recent partnership with JUST Goods,Norwegian Encore will be the first ship in the company to be plastic bottle free when she debuts.
By January 1 2020 Norwegian Cruise Line will be the first major cruise line to eliminate plastic bottles across its entire fleet.
