Nick Barton has been appointed chief executive of Luton Airport.
He will take up the role and the end of the year, when the current executive chairman Clive Condie will revert to his previous role as chairman of the Board.
Barton is currently chief executive of a property asset management company based in central London.
Before that he worked for eight years at Stansted Airport in a variety of executive roles, including managing director.
The Airport is embarking on an ambitious £100 million transformation plan to increase annual passenger numbers from 10 million to 18 million by 2026.
The transformation will see significant investment in both remodelling the existing terminal building and improving transport access.
