New boys on board at Silversea

Silversea Cruises has appointed Roberto Martinoli and Jay Witzel to its board of directors.
 
Martinoli trained as a naval architect and marine engineer and has a strong track record in fleet operations. He heads up Italian ferry company Grandi Navi Veloci and is a former president at Norwegian Cruise Line. He has also worked at Carnival Group.
 
Meanwhile Witzel has a CV in the hotel and cruise sectors and was president and chief executive officer at Carlson Hotels Worldwide and Carlson Cruises, now Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
 
The three other board members remain the same: Giorgio Scelsi, Enzo Visone and chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio.
