New Canaries flights from North East

Low fares carrier Jet2.com is to serve Tenerife from Newcastle next winter.

The budget airline is to offer two flights a week from October 3.

Tickets starting at £52.50 one way have gone on sale today.

The airline already serves Tenerife from Leeds-Bradford and Blackpool airports.
