New chair for cruise body
Lynn Narraway has become the new chair of CLIA UK & Ireland, taking over from Jo Rzymowska.
Narraway, who is managing director UK business for Holland America Line and Seabourn, accepted the position at CLIA’s annual dinner on board Fred. Olsen Cruise Line’s Black Watch last night.
"The membership of CLIA UK & Ireland continues to grow and we now have 52 different cruise line members," she said.
"With such a great choice, we know that once on board holidaymakers will have a fantastic time so I look forward to building on the great work already undertaken in promoting cruise holidays and continuing to see the industry grow."
Rzymowska, MD of Celebrity Cruises UK & Ireland, said she had enjoyed ‘four phenomenal years’ as chair.
"The cruise industry has worked together over recent years to focus on delivering greater trade, consumer and media engagement and this has delivered significant benefits including sector growth," she said.
"The support agents enjoy has also been enhanced and I’m proud to hand over the reins at a time when CLIA is truly going from strength to strength.”
CLIA UK & Ireland Director Andy Harmer said of Rzymowska: "It’s hard to find a more passionate advocate of cruising."
