New chairman for GBTA

Sunday, 14 Jan, 2004 0

Carlson Wagonlit executive vice-president EMEA Richard Lovell will take over as chairman of the Guild of Business Travel Agents (GBTA) from next week. He takes over from World Travel Management chairman, Charles Sommer, who remains on the Executive Council for two years. Mr Lovell was the obvious candidate for the job as he previously held the role of deputy chairman. A role that will now be taken by Business Travel Management managing director, Adam White. A new member to the Executive Council is Richard Furness (managing director, Navigant International), and both Paul Allan (chairman, Ian Allan Travel) and Don Lunn (non-executive chairman, ATP International) have been re-elected.
