Low-cost airline Jet2.com will launch a twice-weekly non-stop service from Glasgow to Tenerife on April 1 next year.
The summer only service will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, allowing sister company Jet2holidays to offer seven-night packages to the holiday island.
Glasgow is the airline’s eighth UK base and its new service will complement its existing flights to Tenerife from Manchester, Blackpool, East Midlands, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and Belfast International.
Flights will operate until November 4, 2011.
