New Frontiers changes hands
Travel recruitment firm New Frontiers has been acquired by Australia-based TMS Talent.
Julia Feuell, who founded the business 24 years ago, said the decision to sell ‘has not been easy’ but said it was time to hand it over.
Feuell also runs the fast growing Online Travel Training company (OTT).
"As OTT has grown I have had less and less time to focus on New Frontiers and the time has come to hand over the reins," she said.
"The reality is I have been absorbed for the last few years on OTT, which has experienced phenomenal growth and success. TMS Talent were looking for a London operation and I thought the match was perfect.
"As travel recruitment is increasingly international, a global branch network will be more and more relevant."
TMS Talent, a Australian and Asia-based travel and hospitality recruiter, is headed up by MD John Terry who has driven its ‘phenomenal’ expansion over the past three years.
It has offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Bangkok.
Terry said he was looking to mirror the growth experienced in Australia to expand the UK business, initially in the UK and then across Europe.
He said all existing staff would be retained and the London office will continue to operate, with all senior management in place.
"We will also be keeping the New Frontiers brand," he added.
He said the parallels between the two businesses are ‘remarkable’.
"TMS Talent and New Frontiers were formed within a year of each other in the mid 1990s and have both been serving the travel and hospitality markets within their own regions for over 20 years.
"The opportunity for us to share knowledge and experiences across the world will not only help to grow our business but also help to serve a number of global companies we currently partner with."
TMS Talent is backed by Bangkok-based investor Steven Hamblin.
