Aer Arann is to serve the Isle of Man from Luton airport.

Twice daily flights are planned by the Irish regional airline from November 24 using 50-seat ATR42 aircraft. Tickets cost £29.99 one-way including taxes.

The carrier already serves Galway and Waterford from the Bedfordshire airport.

Aer Arann has launched nine routes in the last year and added two ATR72s to bring its fleet up to ten aircraft. Its network includes 13 UK routes, five Irish domestic services and three routes to France.

The airline’s marketing manager Michael O’Callarain said: “This new service offers islanders additional access to London and the opportunity to connect to several European destinations from one of the UK’s fastest growth airports.”
