New ownership for John Allan Travel
Family-run independent travel agent, Triangle Travel, is buying Didcot-based agency John Allan Travel.
The owner, John Allan, intends to retire once the sale is complete.
He has worked in the travel industry for 50 years and set up the agency 29 years ago.
Rob Kenton, managing director of Triangle Travel, (pictured here) said: "John has built up a really strong business over the years and we are honoured that he has entrusted us to take on the stewardship of John Allan Travel. It has an excellent reputation and we very much plan to keep it the same way.
"We wish him and his wife a happy, well-earned retirement."
Penny Wesson and Jill Mangan, who have worked with Allan for 12 years and seven years respectively, will continue as front line senior travel consultants whilst becoming part of the extended Triangle Travel team.
Triangle Travel, established in 2001, is part of The Travel Network Group.
The deal brings its network to five travel stores. The others are in Mortimer, Newbury, Pangbourne and Wallingford.
